For His Keep

I.
In layered submission—
I unfold, petal by petal—
Opened, attentively.
He doesn’t rush—
Savoring every earned inch of me.

II.
My heart spills over—
Flowing a shelter of love—
Under His severe adherence to my growth.

III.
Sacred, safe in me.
I become His—bear witness,
His jeweled trove;
Swelling waves, He takes refuge in—
My adoring deep.

IV.
The heat of His body—
Near and not touching—
Tantalizing me into squirming rhythms,
Praying to wander Him.

V.
He curls me to Him—
I roll into His chest,
My own opened and expressed—
In our love sounds
And body speak.
I confess I’m His—
With relief to be.

VI.
Breathless under His gaze—
I cannot fully encounter His eyes
Without lowering mine.
He penetrates every insecurity
I hold, untying these with ease.
I give over to Him what I know I must—
Approving my devotion-heart
And spiritual trust in His hands—
By my deeds.

VII.
He came in like Great Pine—
Towering, lusty branches—
Sewing shut my wounds—
Needle and pitch, soothing me.
He removed every wretch who had—
Tricked a lick from me before Him—
And I am absolved,
Laid out wide
For His take.

Readily and willingly, thirsting for His keep.
