Nocturne Nature

I.
I feel in heat.
Is it the full moon?
Do You shapeshift now?
Will You be gone?

II.
He smiles at me in a way that shows acceptance—
modeled for my nocturne nature,
my mooniness,
my curiosity of lust and desire.
He never steals my innocence—
in look, in word,
in action toward me.

III.
“Come with me.”
His invitation hangs in the air—dangerously fun.
I pick it up.

IV.
Moonlight glints off His teeth,
currents flood my body.
I turn fiendish for You—
the full moon using my skull for the truth.
