I.
I’m the forest.
Held firmly, bound to earth and sky,
reflecting limbs wild and green with worship.
Cedar and moss colliding into sweet springs
water my insides,
nourishing and nourished.
II.
Nature’s wishes live on my lips,
hips, and hands.
III.
Carnal, gentled,
submitted, too.
Refined,
delicate but not fragile.
I try out my new skin.
