And just like that, I knew—
I needed nothing from the past,
so much as the acknowledgment—
I came through it.
II.
In tarot, the Tower looms,
impending disaster.
But in my heart,
every ruinous moment—
worth it for that
I know nothing
and the wisdom entered
once admitted.
III.
What an excitement—
to freshly observe myself:
tear-stained, wild-eyed,
searching deep inside.
What can be done?
All that hasn’t been finished—
within the heart’s contentment.
IV.
No need to burn down what had been—
once, it held meaning.
I blow out the match—
I’d kept, in case I needed to forget everything.
