Into Hecate’s Cave

I.
Hecate’s cave—
entrance to healing.
Taken in—
invited.
Pure waters rinse over my body.
I lay bare beside fire—
hot stones surrounding me.
Flames stoked with medicinal foliage—
smoke.
Sacred wood cracks and sparks.
Her herbs—dried, crystallized,
and fresh, alive—
crushed over me,
rubbed into skin.
The energies mend me—
anew.

II.
Let solitude—
that enclosure of alone
with self—
renew you.
Drift in the silence within—
cooling relief from stimulus.
Darkness—
where anything can exist
without harshness
or judgment.
The eye, naked with curiosity
for the realm of self-discovery.
Breathe.

III.
Feel.
Whatever you like,
whatever you don’t—
let it rinse through you
like healing balm
for spirit and soul.
Your worth, your majesty—
travel on that livewire
of emotions
expressed.
You can’t not exist
when you feel—
and that’s the painful bit
needing acknowledgment.

IV.
Trust yourself.
Trust your solitude.
Trust what you perceive there.
Trust your emotions.
Trust your experience.
